Another book that absolutely broke my heart. I don't know why I do it to myself but I love these books too much to stop. Bastard Out of Carolina is a perfect novel, with characters that felt tangible and became practically family to me when I finished. Characters like Bone, Aunt Raylene, Uncle Earle and Nevil will stay with me for a very long time. The honesty in this book hurts me every single time I think about it, and the ending will haunt me forever. A truly magnificent book.
