4.5

This installment in the series has several elements not common in others, with Before and Now sections which give perspectives of a few different characters not directly part of the investigation, and rarely if ever presenting sections from the perspective of the murderer.

I appreciated the way this novel explored the interplay of individual and family, especially looking at relationships between parents and children.
