Tress of the Emerald Sea is a wonderful, and thrilling pirate adventure loosely based on The Princess Bride. This novel is a blast to read, and I loved every second of it. Fun Characters, Interesting magic and world-building, poetic themes about love, and great prose. It's like Brandon wrote this just to prove he could.

I whole heartedly recommend Tress to everyone, and it might beat out Mistborn as my Go-to for Newcommers to the Cosmere.
