really enjoyed listening to Werner read this audiobook on my commutes and bike rides, especially the stories of his childhood. did not know he had it that rough. really makes clear his perspective and intense humanism and respect/awe for nature. kinda wish there was more talk of his films in this but I guess there's already Herzog on Herzog for that. This one he kinda just goes off on whatever he feels like talking about, as he should
