Touching, poetic and so much more. Dear Mothman elegantly displayed a grieving young trans boy learning how to go about life again after the loss of his best friend, who is also trans. Gow wrote this in verse and, to me, it was the perfect choice for this story. It was both lyrical and powerful at the parts where it needed it the most. I love that not only is Noah trans, he is also autistic. Which is more representation we need to be seeing in books, so many people want to see themselves represented in books and Gow was able to do just that. Dear Mothman spoke to the unsung parts of my youth and to the youth of today telling them it is ok to be yourself, it is ok to be different.

If I was a librarian or teacher I would 100000% make sure to have this in my middle school. It will help make sure kids are seen and know they aren't alone.
