This is one of the most interesting, clever, and deeply emotional mysteries I’ve ever read. The character work was absolutely phenomenal. The plot was predictable in a good way, in that the reader could make inferences and get the satisfaction of their hunch being right. To be fair, I was very lucky to be taking a Shakespeare class while reading this so I could understand the language and archetypes better than the average person. The way aspects of Shakespeare’s work was woven in was so well done, and it really added a whole new layer. I’m not usually a subdued, literary sort of person, but this is now one of my favorite books.
