This book just wasn’t for me, though I desperately wanted to enjoy it. A story without substance or genuine chemistry simply isn’t my cup of tea. I couldn’t feel any connection between the main characters—they were bland, and the chemistry was nonexistent. There were no sparks, no tension, nothing to draw me in.

Even though the FMC repeatedly claims to feel all these emotions, it didn’t come through in the narrative. The plot itself wasn’t strong enough to hold my interest, and the single POV didn’t do the story any favors.
