As far as prequel novellas go, this was one of the best I've read in some time. Not too long, but exciting enough to whet the appetite and drive the reader to want to delve deeper into this fictional world. I'm looking forward to reading more about Essie and the urban fantasy/pnr world of Nephilim's Destiny.
