DNF at like 80% but I spent 7 hours of my life listening to this so I’m counting it.

Things i liked:
- greg boudreaux’s narration. Honestly the only reason this isn’t 1-star

Things that were on the low end of “meh”
- the mystery, could have been good if it was better written and more time was spent editing plot holes. Jesus these 2 are TERRIBLE investigators as written.

Things I hated:
-the first day lasted 40% of the book, the next 40% took place over the next 2-3 weeks. The pacing was terrible… things that happened day 1:
>shitty attempt at morning sex with gf
>job interview
>investigation
>home at 11pm
>fight with and break up with gf
>back to office (to sleep there, the day he was
hired)
>deciding to stay with fox (his new BOSS)
sometime after midnight
>arguing over who takes the couch
>drinks and heart to heart about Jonah getting shot
in the head
>drinking game
>first gay sex
>arguing again over who takes the couch
>heart to heart about some photo on the wall
>4 hours into this book and this night is still going
on…
- holy fuck the misogyny in the way the ex-gf is talked about. I’m not denying that there are women this terrible out there, but the way these men are talking about her is disgusting.
- quit at the completely insane take that you are gay or straight. No other options. The bi/demi/ace erasure was *gross*
