The book is fantastic up until they get to the Arctic, and then gets progressively less interesting and less believable. As many people have said, the ending makes zero sense. I get that it's a parallelism, but I'm lost on what it's supposed to signify. Throughout the book, there are suggestions of magical realism, but never quite enough to be convincing or to make sense. Overall, an enjoyable book, but somewhat bewildering.
