My 14th book finished in 2023.

I read this is school, and have now re-read it 13 years later. At the time, I didn't understand the subtle commentary on racism for the time. You kind of just thought the author was racist for using that language. The characters are well developed and believable, and it acted out perfectly as a play in my head. 

I really enjoyed reading this, and I want to explore more of Steinbeck's literature.
