I am such a sucker for a good book that you can find yourself immersed in, and this book firmly falls into that category!

I loved the way that Kate protrays the characters. They are so relateable and I found it easy to find a piece of myself in each of them, making me eager to turn the page and see what happens.
IAs someone who has a small dog that is almost a rat equivalent, I feel seen and absolutely adore the way that the dogs in the book feel like their own characters. It doesn’t hurt that Kate included adorable chapters that.... well... read the book and find out!

I thought that the story development was well planned and executed, with our characters growing back towards each other even after so many years apart.

I am anxiously awaiting the second book in the series especially after that cliffhanger. My jaw dropped and I am hooked!
