I think Kai Bennett just became my new favorite Tijan leading man! Holy crap this book was INTENSE!!!! 5 freaking stars!

What a whirlwind story! This read was packed with suspense, drama, violence, trickery and a hell of a lot of passion!

Riley had a strenuous past with the Bennett family but she truly had no idea what they were capable of until she was kidnapped by the Mafia family's leader, Kai. The only Bennett female remaining, Brooke, was missing and Kai was convinced that Riley knew where she was. He'd stop at nothing to find his family, no matter who he took down in the process. Confusion and panic wracked her brain as to why he'd taken her and why he thought she would know where Brooke was after over a decade of being separated from her past best friend and roommate.

The spark between Kai and Riley was electric! Two rivals fighting so hard against their feelings for each other. But, in the end, the heart wants what the heart wants. And Riley's desperately needed Kai Bennett.

Tijan is a skilled genius when it comes to deep, convoluted story lines. The layers of corruption and deception seemed to never end in this book. You were kept on your toes until the very end! Just when you thought you knew what direction the read was going, it took a tailspin into the abyss and you were left eyes wide open, scratching your head thinking WTF!?!?! Tijan plays the long game when it comes to her writing and it's simply incredible to experience!
