Starstruck by Brenda Hiatt
Did not finish book.
DNF @ 54%. I really did give this one the good ole college try. It wasn't bad like some of my DNFs, this one probably would have ended up a solid 3 stars with the way it was going. It's just that I discovered I was forcing myself to read the book...and since I have a gagillion books on my TBR list, I just felt like it wasn't worth it to continue....I can't imagine I would be invested enough to want to continue on in the series.
My biggest problem probably lay with Marsha's immaturity....which is actually quite realistic for a 15 year old, but I just wasn't feeling it. She was basically ignoring her friends b/c of the magic pull towards Rigel, and yet she was mad when they were upset about it. I mean, she went through the motions of understanding their POV, but it didn't feel sincere.
So this is not a normal DNF. Maybe if I'd been in a different mood I'd have finished this one. But I can guarantee I'll never get back to this one...b/c as much as I read, my TBR list just isn't shrinking fast enough...
