there was no specific plot in this book, just vibes. sad, white, beautifully written vibes. i don't know how han kang manages to describe such painful things as grief, and pain but also solace and purity in a way that's literally stunning. it's a book that within a few paragraphs had me tearing up. my mind cannot comprehend how you could write poetry like that? every page was unique in its own way and the language was remarkable! of course that couldn't be possible without the magnificent work of deborah smith! just stunning!

i'd love to come back for this book once again and have it ruin me. i think i'll need it.
