I knew who the killer was right from the start, and yet, the book was still super tense and gripping. I loved the setting, the isolated cabins in the woods are always great, but add in a snowstorm and I'm bought right away. But as a cherry on the top, the killer was so flashy that he used the decapitated heads as decorations on the pine, which was hillarious to me as I saw it like sort of christmasy decorations. I also love the dying one by one premise, and the paranoia of the characters was tangible (thought I spent most of the time shouting at them: THE KILLER IS [REDACTED] HOW ARE YOU NOT GETTING THAT??? They didn't get it because they're characters in the thriller and do not think in the terms of tropes. :D) In any case, very fun and enjoyable.
