Format: Audio/Print Combined 

I am really glad I reread the first book in this series ahead of picking this up as I do think I enjoyed this a lot more as a result. Without the need for worldbuilding, I think we got into the storyline much quicker which kept me engaged much more. I particularly enjoyed Susan’s journey in this book – unlike Merlin and Vivien, Susan was very much thrust into this world during the first book and is still coming to terms with everything. I think this gave an accurate portrayal of how she’d be feeling in these circumstances and I loved that she didn’t just accept what she was being told but was willing to challenge the booksellers more in this book. 

I think there’s a third book coming and I’ll definitely be picking it up!
