the eighth book of the beyond the page series

This is the eighth book of the beyond the page cozy mystery series. Addie, a bookshop owner in a small seaside town is headed to a book sale in the neighbouring town of Pen Hollow. The towns local library is closing due to lack of funding and shes hoping she can find some good items at the sale for her bookstore.
During her attendance to the sale she is given the opportunity to view the “bookmobile bus” an old school bus concerted to a mobile book shop that is up for grabs. She is sold on the idea and buys it. Shes excited for the opportunities it will bring, especially during festival season on the harbour.
The mayor is going to deliver Addie the bus while she continues shopping at the book sale. Addie is then given the news that there had been an accident involving the bus and the mayor is dead.
It comes to light that the accident wasn’t the cause of death, it was a poisoning.
Addie and Paige are deemed the prime suspect solely because of the fact that they are outsiders to this close knit town.
With the police trying to pin the murder on them, Addie and Paige start to make a list of other suspects with the means and motive to murder. It seems the mayor was not very well liked.
Addie’s friends come to help them and the clue start coming together.
I really enjoyed this read. It was a quick read with different suspects being explored.
