this is so difficult to rate, on the one hand it’s a beautiful novel and a definite tear jerker but on the other hand i just did not gel with the structure and that hindered my overall enjoyment of the book. i hated how it flits between the two narratives, it kept making me confused!?!? And oddly enough it kinda prevented me from bonding w the characters. Also, the ending is incredibly safe / predictable.. although… i mean.. it made me cry regardless though so honestly take my review w a pinch of a salt. i don’t know how to FEEL!!!!
