Cruising: An Intimate History of a Radical Pastime by Alex Espinoza

this was quite disappointing... i didn't feel that it succeeded as a history of cruising or as a memoir. because the author tried to do both, it felt quite disorganized... again, i really wish that this wasn't pitched as a history of cruising overall because i got the sense that the author's research wasn't super comprehensive. lesbians are mentioned in passing, which seemed incredibly silly to me as lesbians have most definitely cruised. at one point, he mentions 'female impersonators'. much to think about...
