Overview
We are two book nerds, Surabhi (@surabhi.reading) and Laura (@openbookopen) who love queer lit and regional lit. We've created this challenge to inspire ourselves (and you!) to read a queer book from every region of the United States.
To complete this challenge, you’ll need to read one queer book set in or about each of the nine regions. Of course, this is only one way to define US regions, and relies on state boundaries for ease. If you want to bend a region or passionately argue with us, please do–that’s what this challenge is for!
If you want to nerd out about region with us even more, complete any or all of the bonus prompts (which can overlap with the regional prompts and/or each other).
If you're on IG, post about what you're reading using #QueeringRegion, and check out this post for all the details.
Queer literature + regional literature = the best literature! Let's go!
