For 2025, this challenge is focused on stories that center Black women and girls
For years, I have been collecting books written by Black women with Black women and girls as the Main Characters, but for one reason or another, not getting the chance to read them. So this is my motivation to pick them up off my TBR.

But these aren't just stories of Black women and girls suffering and being demeaned. These are stories of women standing in their power, taking charge, and embracing their rage. These books span age ranges, genres, and lengths. Many of these picks take place in Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Speculative Fiction settings. But that doesn’t mean they skimp on the subject matter. Some are beautifully woven series. Others are short and 🌶 spicy 🌶 novellas. If you follow me on Threads, then some of these titles will seem familiar to you. But there are tons more!
