Overview
Trust the Tropes is a virtual romance book club that meets via Discord. We focus on reading diverse and inclusive books. Anyone is free to join, so long as they respect each other and appreciate the romance genre. You can join the group by following this link: https://discord.gg/gWpSHgKtPs
2025 is going to bring about some changes to the book club!
- Each month will have a theme.
- For the odd months, there will be a club vote (like normal) from a minimum of three options related to the theme. We will post the poll a month in advance so that everyone will hopefully have enough time for Libby/library holds or to find a physical copy of the book. We will continue to meet virtually to discuss the chosen book at the end of the month.
- For the even months, you get to choose a book related to the theme! We will post suggestions, but feel free to choose whatever you want that fits our theme. The only other requirement is that they have to be romances. We will not be meeting virtually these months; instead, there will be a chat channel in the Discord where we can review what we read, recommend (or not), and discuss the books as we go.
