I’m glad to have been sent this book because I wouldn’t have picked it up otherwise but it was a great read.
A lot of the topics aligned with thoughts and topics that come up during therapy sessions just with the added element of religion.
Let me share a few quotes that really resonated with me—
“When you commit to growth after trauma, there is resurrecting power that demands your hope, potential, and faith to rise up. An even better version of you is waiting to emerge!”
“No one ends up stagnant in life because they want to be. We end up stagnant in life because the unknown is scary.“
“Our fears pretend to keep us safe. Our faith demands we draw on courage we aren't sure we possess. If fear didn't feel so comfortable, and faith wasn't so expensive, indecision would vanish, and confidence would emerge.”
I have always struggled with the unknown. It is scary. This book helped me make sense of that feeling a little bit more and realize to have faith instead of fear towards the unknown. Think positively. Don’t let your mind think the worst.
—
“Have you ever considered that your mind could be working against you and not for you? If your thoughts aren't helping you become wiser, more compassionate, focused, and disciplined, then what is it making you become?”
“Avoiding what scares you means that what scares you is in control of you.”
—
This is something my therapist has talked about as well. You have to face your fears to retrain your brain that it is okay.
“When you begin this journey of embracing what you didn't want to see, it won't always feel good. Sometimes it will be downright scary and uncomfortable. That's okay. You can keep moving even in the scary and uncomfortable.
You will come to a place where you look back over your life and you recognize that your development didn't take place because everything went the right way. No, when you take inventory of your life, you will see that you were developed because you went through the fire and came out more refined.”
Last quote I want to share is—
“It doesn't matter what you've gone through. It doesn't matter how behind you think you are. I don't want you to give up on yourself because you feel like you're too far from any possibility of restoration.
God has a promise that good is still possible when you are aligned with Him.”
I highly suggest this book if you want to read about how Eve in the Bible has shaped the future for women over generations and how viewing her in a different light all makes sense. It will help you feel more confident and powerful in your decisions to come.
Thank you so much to Frontgate Media for the complimentary copy.

This book can be summed up in one word: Powerful!
Sarah Jakes Roberts delivers yet another impactful, spiritually uplifting, and thought-provoking read.
Woman Evolve is a light yet transformative read that challenges you to reflect on your life, faith, self-belief, and how you show up in the world.
Her books have changed the way I pray, the way I see and love myself, and, most importantly, how I reclaim my space in life and the world.
A 5-star read all around!

The fact that my OWN mind could be working against me is WILD.
Fact of the matter is, I’m a WILD woman.
Coming into 33 years of age, I feel like as a Christian woman who has been shaken up in my past this book spoke VOLUMES to me. I can feel the revolution and all the feels.
After reading this book, I’m going to accomplish GOALS.
I highlighted so much throughout this book and I know that this knowledge I gained will be something I will continuously look at to remember who I am and where I’m headed to.

Amazing, thought provoking, and a loud charge to indeed evolve beyond anything that has us stuck in whatever form that may be. I’ll definitely be revisiting and working through the journal prompts.
