I gave this book 5 stars because it was based on one of my very favorite shows. I’ve watched the show through many different seasons of my life and I strongly relate to the Main character, Jane, so this book was a treasure for me. Sure the writing is just so-so and the story kind of jumped around a little bit, but this was the most perfect Christmas gift from my husband and I will cherish it forever!

I really, really wanted to love this book. I think because I love the show, the major differences in the plot ruined this story for me. While I love Jane in the show, I found her character in this book to be unlikable and frustrating. I did fly through this book though so parts must have been compelling. For a romance novel that is supposed to have magical realism based on the "author's" interests, this book falls short.

I loved Jane the Virgin, and I’ve had this on my TBR ever since it came out - I was dying to read the book that’s talked about so much in the tv series! It was good, and I liked how it paralleled the actual plot of the tv series, but some of the things that were different didn’t sit right with me (no spoilers). That’s all that’s stopping me from giving it 4 stars!

Most people in the reviews that I read on Goodreads said the book wasn't that good and you should only read it if you were REALLY obsessed with Jane the virgin but I really loved it I loved the writing and loved that they changed a bunch of things, that there was even some moments that were kinda unexpected and I went like :-O but anyways obviously if you're coming to read this book and haven't watched the show it won't feel the same and you will probably not like it and be confused like where did rake's wife go but other than that I loved especially the crime stuff and this book was the one that really made me get into and start liking reading so ya I give it 4 stars maybe I'll change it in the future because this is one of my first books but ya and also to end this review I just wanna say that even thought the bond between Rogelio and Michael didn't feel the same as Ronaldo and martin's bromance everytime they were together in the book I laughed so ya

I’m a huge fan of Jane The Virgin so reading this book was a must!

I enjoyed this but at times it got a bit slow, not much happened which dragged down the pace of the book. For someone that has seen the show most things where very predictable but a couple twists where added here and there to change things up. Perhaps the book would be more surprising and exciting for someone who hasn’t watched the show!

I love that the author choose to set the story in the early 1900’s at it gives the book a fun twist!

Jane Gloriana Villanueva, you little writer, you.

What can I say about this book? Honestly, I read this book for Jane. Aren't we all here because of her? I love JGV like nobody's business, and I'll support her career even if she's ficitional. Mmkay?

I'm here for the dedication to Michael, acknowledgment to Rafael, and all the recommendations by Jane's friends. Thank you, thank you Simon and Schuster for giving me the book I didn't know I needed.

That being said, Snow Falling is a whirlwind piece that left me with awkward vibes throughout. Don't get me wrong...I enjoyed every single cheesy bit of it. I bought a copy, and I sat there savoring this like it was a good slice of pie. Yet, somehow the overall piece screamed hastily written fanfiction to me That's basically what Snow Falling is. A rig-a-ma-roll of fanfic.

The entire time I was reading this, I kept visualizing Jane's family and friends reading the book. Yikes.

There's some content in this book that could come across as a wee bit embarrassing to some of our crew. Especially with Rake (Raf) and Josephine (Jane) getting it on in Chapter Four, while Josephine's fiancee Detective Martin (Michael) is out chasing bad guys. I wonder how Michael felt reading that juicy little bit. To be sure, reading that probably put some red on some cheeks. Can anyone say awkward family dinners?

But fancition is great, even when it isn't top-notch. Where else will I be able to read about all my favorite characters? So don't judge this book and just read it. Your Jane The Virgin loving self will thank you for it.

P.S. Does anyone else think that the cover art resembles Xiomara and Adam, or is it just me.
