Book #19 of Book Riot Challenge 2018: "A book published posthumously"
A theme that seems so complex was elegantly written, comforting and trying. Being something that I've had on my mind a lot lately, it was very much needed.

It took me months to finish this book just because the translation was terrible. I strongly recommend you to read another edition of it.

Written before The Stranger, this book carries some familiar elements and with it questions about the meaning of life and our role/existence in it. Some of the themes were “of the time” and don’t carry the same weight as today. In fact, in light of recent world events, it may have been bad timing on my part to read this book. Trigger warning for depressive themes, death, and self-serving misogyny.
