This was a sweet love story. I really don’t have much to say other than I wished Carter had explained his feelings towards the way Isaac treated his dog a lot sooner.
Michael Pauley’s performance was great for this book I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Generally enjoyed this one, though I didn't *love* it.
I've not read many books in this genre with a blind MC, and I thought that was really interesting and handled very well and respectfully. While I liked both of the characters, I did think that Isaac was sometimes overly sensitive and asshole-ish, which was a bit off-putting. On the other end of the spectrum, while I liked Carter a lot, I was actually really pissed off with his handling of the ~love confession~ debacle. Frankly, I think he COMPLETELY over-reacted and was kind of a dick about the fact that Isaac wasn't immediately able to say it back, and I found that whole thing to be really off-putting. I also thought the drama around the dog was a little overblown. I think there were just too many sub-plots here, so I felt like we had a lot of little ~plot climaxes~ instead of one build, which made the flow feel off.

I love Brady! What a sweet, cute dog. I really enjoyed this...sure, I got frustrated with the characters, but overall I really did like it. 3.5-3.75 so I rounded up.

Isaac was a bit much for me, couldn't empathize with him, although I really wanted to. Carter was meh; Mark I really liked :)
The dogs, however, I LOVED!

Cute
Oh, another cute story with animals in it! Isaac and Carter's story was adorable and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

"Please don't ignore my phone calls." Isaac spoke with his head bowed, and he swallowed loudly. "If you're mad at me, then answer the phone and tell me you are, yell at me, tell me I'm being an ass, or whatever." Then he added softly, "It's bad enough I don't have sight, I can't deal with silence too."

I gotta be honest...Issac pissed me off...on more than one occasion. I mean...do I understand his issues, I sure do...did that lessen the irritation for me? Nope. I was just thoroughly pissed and wanted to smack him and tell him to grow up and stop being such a stupid douche.
Now...with that little exception, I did really enjoy the story. I liked Carter. I liked Mark. I liked Hannah.
CArter was pretty well defined and very likable. I always like it when dogs are part of a story. I enjoyed the slices of the Hannah/Isaac brother-sister relationship.
The romantic aspect of the story really worked for me.
I love N.R. Walker and will probably continue this sequel...but Isaac needs a time out first.

N.R. Walker is quickly rising to the top of the MM Author list for me. An author who (so far) includes none of my NO-NOs, creates loving adorable couples, the right amount of angst, sexual tension to make you go weak in the knees and a love for animals who themselves become supporting characters you want to love. I become a swooning mess over the love for these types of stories. If you are looking for sweet story then this is it. These two…

…are just all together lovely.
I cannot wait to continue this story…and am equally excited for book 3 to see the bi-sexually witty Mark loose his one night stand attitude and fall head over heels for someone.
