I'm not sure why this book has so many positive reviews. On the plus side there were some funny moments mostly with Ben, the main character's brother, but that's about it.
Noah was ok, but Grace was annoying. The main focus of the book seemed to be her weight. It was mentioned over and over and over. She's heavy, I get it, you don't need to beat me over the head with it. It was hard to find her appealing since all you really hear about her is that she is heavy, and she's usually not described in a complimentary way even when Noah describes her. For example, in one scene he thinks of her as a "chunky necklace hanging around his neck." I'm not saying her weight is a problem for me in fact I like it when characters are more realistic, it's just that the author feels the need to mention it at least once every page.
Did I mention she's overweight?

Noah is your typical alpha male, 6’4” of yummy deliciousness. Grace is delightful, funny, driven and unfortunately has some image issues. She sees herself as plump and undesirable. Noah sees nothing but a warm, curvaceous, real woman that is his every fantasy come true. He wants her, she’s willing and they can't get enough of each other. He never wavers from his want or need for her, tells her as much as he shows her, and I just loved that. The reader can feel the love and lust that they have for each other, because it pops right off the pages.

After seeing the newest release by Lori Foster, I started to get a bit nostalgic and one of my go-to book of hers is this one. I love this book so much! I cannot tell you how many times I have re-read this book.
The story starts with Noah catching his fiancee in bed with another man. The engagement is off but taking into Kara’s feelings, he does not tell anyone about the cheating. He is found to be blamed for it and this is where love story between Noah and Grace begins.
Grace is a loyal, hard-working yet inexperienced, insecure heroine who has had a crush on Noah ever since she met him years ago. Grace knows Noah and knows he would never have broken off the engagement without good reason. She passionately defends him to his family and goes to him to offer him her support. Grace appears at Noah’s apartment looking like a drowned rat declaring her defense of him. Noah slightly drunk at this point, with his self control lowered, they kiss and she ends up staying the night. And what ensued is a sexy, hot love affair. What started off as a sex only relationship turned into so much more.
I just loved how protective and possessive Noah gets as the story went on. Grace sees herself overweight and even mentions to Noah a few times that she is fat. I loved Noah’s reaction to this, he was angry at what she thought that of herself and what others have told her. I think this is what I enjoyed most about this book, even if Grace saw herself in such a negative light, Noah did not. He was this alpha good looking male and found her to be sexy and he wanted her just like she was. He couldn’t not fall in love with her.
I was not a fan of Kara, the ex-fiancee and Agatha, the over-bearing and controlling grandmother of Noah and ex-boss of Grace. They both treated Noah and Grace badly, but I’m happy to say it was all resolved.
All in all a great book, Noah and Grace got their happily ever after.

This was a strange one. It never felt like either of them were actual human beings. Gracie just felt weirdly obsessed with Noah. She says that she knew him and loved him in the beginning but the reader never sees why. It was all so annoying that literally everything came back to Gracie’s weight and size. Like I’m not thin which is why I like to read romances with plus size heroines. But geeze, I don’t think about my weight THAT much. Like dang girl, he said he was into you and he clearly is! As for Noah he was just really intense. And not in a super charming way, just in a “chill out dude” way. There wasn’t much to the story to be honest but I don’t think there was supposed to be. I was able to get through it but it wasn’t very fun

Light & easy reading romance featuring a curvy, plus-sized heroine & the handsome man who loves her. The plot felt rushed but I bought it second hand so I got my money's worth.

This was one of my first romance novels I ever read and it's one of my favorites!
