I have read quite a few of Wahida Clarks books. I think I may have missed one or two of this series. This was a page turner for me. Even though I wasn't fully familiar with all the characters (or it's been so long since I've read one),it's easy to catch up/on. None of the characters is particularly likeable. But, I don't think that's important or, even what the author wants. When telling a story, especially this type of story that's not always integral. I am hoping there is another with the same group of characters. It would be nice to know what happened to Briggen, Dark, Shan and Nick etc...

I received a free copy of this book through Goodreads First Reads.
It was the first book by Wahida Clark I've read, and it was an enjoyable page turner. Many things happened that I was not expecting, and that made me want to keep reading in order to find out what the next surprise would be.
Not really the kind of book I normally choose to read, but I'm very glad I did.
