I read this book because I wanted more from the characters in the Chronicles of Nick Universe. This book is defiantly not a genre that I read. while not a total shock, I personally would have been extremely happy if it was lacking the detailed descriptions. Additionally, there were some discrepancies with the characters. I do give some grace for that though, as it was written a decade before and the Chronicles of Nick series was much better for them (as they came second) plus giving what happens in the last few books I can also explain/justify them. 😉 LoL

There wasn't much in the way of plot and maybe perhaps a few too many (or too long) *sexy time* scenes but it was still a fast fun read, I don't have an overwhelming urge to continue on with the series at this time.

Also, I didn't love the way she switched POV, it just felt awkwardly placed at times, almost as if she just swapped to whoever it was most convenient whenever. The mythology was cool though.

I really wanted to get into this series, but I couldn’t even get through the first book. I can’t stand that every other page is basically focused on the sexually attraction between the two characters and barely anything about the plot, such as what a DH is. I don’t think I actually learned anything about the Dark Hunters or any of the other supernatural beings until about 70 pages in. The rest was literally just how they wanted to bang each other. No thanks.

Dark Hunter (mortal turned vampire to Hunt monsters) with a traumatic past and a powerful witch (who doesn't know she has power or rather refuses to accept her powers). There is hunting, protector vibes, love, and redemption.

I had one last day until I had to return this book and finished this so fast! Dang this is not what I was expecting and still loved it! Knowing all the characters and making it fit with what I knew from the Chronicles of Nick, it made me so happy to see Kerion again and to see him get his happily ever after! It was hinted at with Nick and to see it happen made me immensely happy! Man those spicy scenes had me there for every minute too

I'm really loving this series! The mythology is still a little confusing, but I still find it all kinds if interesting. Loved Amanda and Kyrion. I was glad to see a heroine so ballsy and funny. I think Kenyon's writing is pure fun. Kyrion's past was so heartbreaking that I just wanted to curl up in a ball, but it was so sweet to see how he was able to move past it. Can't wait to read more!
