Surprisingly enjoyable and much better than I expected. I really liked the way it used Norse mythology and the concept of transforming a human into a valkyrie. And although it is clearly heading towards reverse harem, it wasn't particularly graphic which was a bonus. I shall certainly consider the rest of the series.

I liked it much better than A Captive of Wolves from the same author.

Eh.. I honestly should have DNFd this one. There was no real connection with any of the characters. The FMC is somehow this AMAZING battle ready Valkyrie but had what, one real training session? Make that make sense. There no real lead up.. it’s just she dies and then she’s a Valkyrie that needs no training and can just kill anyone without effort. I’m not buying what they’re selling. The MMCs are basically a non factor. They’re just kind of there.. in the background.. not doing much. Idk. This was just not what I wanted it to be. 2 stars solely bc I finished the audio and nothing more.

slow to start. I'm not sure exactly where I got pulled in, but I did and appreciate the character development and storyline

This is my second reverse harem series by Eva Chase and it definitely became my favorite guilty pleasure among books. This one was a little bit slower, but less predictable than first series (Dragon shifter). Narrators were just my cup of tea.

Ari lives a pretty rough life in Philly when she dies and is brought back as a valkyrie. I loved everything about this book from ari's initial freak out to her little brother to all four of the Norse gods who made her a valkyrie. Ari was great and I feel like she handled everything really well. All four of her gods were great too but I think hod is my favorite. It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read what happens next.
