Hate me is the second book in the The Fox Family Crime Syndicate by Summer O' Toole. This is Mafia romance with dark elements. It follows the story of Finneas Fox and Effie Luciano. This was my first book I read by Summer O' Toole and I will be reading more. I loved her writing. Finn and Effie were childhood friends but due to war between their families ruined. Their chemistry in this book was amazing. The spicy scenes were hot

finneas fox is all you need in your life in my opinion. this man is so unhinged and i’m here for it.

this takes place ten years after a war between the two families and a truce has been put in place. effie is pitted against the one man she doesn't want to see again, finn. everything about their story was chaotic and messy but oh so worth it. these two FIGHT for their happily ever after. a lot of betrayals, murder and a heist and now they have to work through their issues and oh do they... let me start by saying the spice in this book took me by surprise. i was not expecting half of it but did it hit tho. finn is a dirty talking man and effie isn't any better which makes this so much better. effie is a baddie and goes after what she wants. she struggles a bit throughout with what her father has done to her but she realizes her strength and finn lefts her completely blossom and learn to love herself. their relationship, while rocky at moments, was utterly amazing. he was the biggest simp for effie while also being completely chaotic and unhinged and i devoured every second of it.
