Alicia is a blacksmith on a Caribbean island, in a shop she inherited from her father. She is left a note from her recently dead father that she has a sister, Samantha, and was found on the island at the age of 12. Alicia is determined to find Sam, but so is the evil son of the evil plantation owner who took in Sam after their ship was attacked and wrecked by pirates. Alicia stows away on a ship to find her. Or something. Anyway, she meets Blake Merritt - and gasp! They have more in common than they thought and must uncoil the family bonds as best they can. They are also in danger and argue about whether to live on the ship or in the blacksmith shop (flimsy conflict). All the solid romance elements are in place, it is just set in the islands and they sail. Not earth shattering, but not terrible either.
