(i don’t read poetry okay but this broke me as a person)

i hate that as a british person the new cross massacre was literally never mentioned to us, let alone taught us in school. black british history is our history. we should be taught it.

I learned some things and got drawn in by the language, and was struck by the connection between present and past.

I won’t rate this as I don’t think I really grasped the meaning fully, it was well written and narrated brilliantly but unfortunately I struggle with listening to poetry.
