With a couple of tweeks to certain recipes I have come to adore this book. It is filled with tasteful beautiful desserts, easy treats for tots and the occassional breakfast and dinner staples. The dnner staples more English than Amrican...I am not one for English dinner dishes.
Nigella or her publisheralways makes sure her recipes are written well with amazing pictures. She is by far one of my favorites for cookbooks.

I checked this book out from the library, and I may be checking it out again and again. The recipes look fabulous (I must try more of them...), but I had a good time just looking at the mouthwatering pictures and reading Nigella's directions. I like how this is not a snobbish, fussy baking book. It leaves room for error and experimentation.
This is the book that started my girl-crush on Nigella Lawson. Nigella may have made her name as a telegenic / sexy TV chef, but her background as a writer shines through in her erudite writing. Her intros and asides add an extra level of interest to a collection of very delicious-looking (and delicious-eating) recipes.
My first contact with nigella and i'm not sure what I think. Some of the recipes look like they might be worth a try but many others don't look any different from similar ones I have from other book. Nothing to make them Pop for me. Since I already bake cakes, cookies, pies, bread and make desserts though I may not be the target audience for this book. Fun anecdotes.
Everyone has a role model in life, and I am happy to admit Nigella Lawson is mine.
Peanut Butter Squares - you will die and go to heaven/whatever type of afterlife you believe in, if any.
One of my favorite cookbooks, I love the holiday recipes.
Nigella's best book, even though it's one of her earliest. This is a solid dessert recipe book, full of great crowd-pleasing desserts and other confections. Nigella, with tongue-in-cheek irony, teaches us how to become the 50s housewife that we all secretly long to be. This is a fun book with equally fun anecdotes.
inspiring
This is the first Nigella book I owned and it turned me into a faithful follower! The recipes are consistently good and sometimes fantastic, her writing is delightful and she makes cooking feel like something you share with her. It's the sort of baking book you cook from, read in bed and refer to constantly!
