Benett’s Mom has cancer and needs treatment, but can’t afford it, so he applies for various charity grants. Dex owns an investment firm that contributes money to the charity Bennett applies to.
They meet at a banquet and begin dating, but Dex doesn’t want Bennett to see him as just a rich guy, and Bennett doesn’t want to be seen as a guy who came from poverty.
Dex’s secret comes to a head when an article reveals his ownership of the company, and at first Bennett is angry about being lied to. His friends and family encourage him to talk to Dex, who apologizes, and they begin making a life together.
Interesting story, Bennett and his family are all good people, and Dex is a lonely, very generous, guy. The grant money that Bennett’s Mom decides to use to start her own charity is an odd addition to the story. There’s an issue mentioned by Levi regarding his grandfather’s will, but nothing happens, it’s a strange part of the ending.
I received this ARC for free, and am writing my honest review of the book in thanks.

A MM billionaire age-gap (15yrs) romance with a humble kickball player & a CEO who'd been burned by too many ex-s. I devoured this in 3hrs! I've been waiting for Ben's book, now I'd the #ARC. Loved Bennett & Dex!
Bennett is devastated by the news of his mom having cancer. Getting help from the grant, on its event Ben meets Dex. B's sheepish, cute, passionate to D's charming, cautious, lonely. Both with nerves & worries.
I loved their relationship, dates & all, it's pretty cute. But we all know when D keeps who he is on down low, it's gonna come bite his ass later

Bennett & Dex
Rating: 3.4 ⭐
- Age Gap (15yrs)
- Opposites Attract
- Electrician's Apprentice/Billionaire CEO
- Strangers to Lovers
- Hidden Secrets
This was a fun and sweet read about a normal guy trying to help his mom in any way he can, meeting a CEO without even knowing it. Both of these men have been burned by past relationships/dates because of money. Bennett was bullied even in childhood for being poor, while having an old boyfriend look down on him for his humble assets as an adult. Dex is a billionaire CEO that always has to deal with people wanting him for his money or his connections, which has led to him not having friends who aren't on his payroll. You get some cameos of the prior couples, but it's not where you feel like you're missing out on information if you haven't read the other books in the series. I loved the dates they went on and how they got to know each other. I was peeved for sure with how long it took Dex to come clean with his financial status, although it really wasn't Bennett's business. Bennett's secrets were more past history than current secrets but still relevant to his reactions.
Things that irked me a bit:
- Later in the book, Bennett's family acts like he never told them he was in a relationship. He specially told them when they first started seeing each other, months ago.
- When Bennett's mother decides to give the grant money away to create a charity, I'm not sure that's how it really works. The money was given directly to the hospital to cover her bills, so I guess the author is having us stretch our imagination that Dex can make anything happen.
- The first time that the couple goes all the way, it's a closed-door scene which is disappointing. You get to read about the first time they get intimate, there's a brief mention about their first full time together, a mention about their months of sleeping together, and then a full scene towards the end. I felt a little cheated missing their first full intimate moment together.
Trigger Warnings include:
Cancer, mentions of family loss and homophobia

Really cute. Loved how the mysterious billionaire courted humble Bennett and his reaction upon the great reveal was honest, and the HEA well earned. The steam was just right with tons of cute moments. Great quickie read.

This book is a cute and easy ready. There's a little angst but the story is entertaining and overall light.

This is my first read in this series since age gap and billionaire are two of my favorite tropes I jumped right in! You can totally read it as a standalone. I can tell there are familiar characters from the previous stories, but with this being a quicker and easier read it mostly just focuses on Ben and Dex. Dex and Ben are both very caring and giving guys, so I immediately liked them both. It was surprisingly spicy too! A nice light evening read with a happy ending I will not give away.

This was a good story in the Out and Kickin' series. I liked seeing cameos of the previous couples, although I would have enjoyed them being more of a part of the book than just being in the background a few times. I liked how well Bennett & Dex clicked, but I felt there was a lot more tell than show, so it was sometimes hard for me to feel their connection. The passage of time was also sometimes unclear. I feel this book would have benefited from being a bit longer, although it was an easy & enjoyable read.

This is the fourth book in the Out and Kickin' series and they can all be read as standalones but the series is so good it's worth reading them all. This is an opposites attract, age gap, sweet and steamy book about Dex and Bennet, I finished this story in one sitting I could not put it down.

quick read.
opposites attract in the best ways sometimes. Bennet comes from no money and in trying to find some help for his mom that was just diagnosed with cancer he meets Dex. Things progress pretty quickly for them.
They have a true connection , I really liked that they both found their happiness that they deserved.
