These are just so gentle and lovely to listen to...a nice break from listening to the news! They are also perfect for work, with their lack of swearing and violence and sex. I love Mme Ramotswe!

I'm still thoroughly enjoying this series. Every book feels like a mini-vacation to a completely different world. Such sweetness and hope, even though there are bad things and people in the stories. And if you haven't watched the HBO series, I highly recommend it, a very faithful interpretation of the books.

I picked up this book because I had heard good things about the series and because this particular book had "Speedy Motors" in the title. :)
It was nothing special to me. I thought it was a reasonably enjoyable easy read, but I cannot say that I would really recommend it to anyone. There are much better books out there. (My tepid evaluation is not shared by the many other fans of this series, so perhaps the book will work better for you.)

This series broadens my view of the world. I enjoy seeing Botswana culture through Mma Ramotswe's life.

I have come to love this gentle, deeply kind series. The relationships between characters get more subtle and interesting over time. One of the plot twists wasn't so surprising, but the others kept me guessing. It's just such a treat to spend a little time with Mma Ramotswe, Mr. JLB Matekoni, Mma Makutsi, Mr. Poleptsi and Phuti Radiphuti, and the country of Botswana.

It's always so nice to go back to Botswana and have some bush tea with Mma Ramotswe...

These wonderful books are always slow and leisurely and this one is no different. In fact, there is only one case being handled by the ladies in this installment so the story primarily focuses on the relationships of the main characters. Comfort for the soul, as always.
