Wittman was an undercover agent helping solve art crimes for 20 years, mainly thefts. It was interesting to learn about how he used different techniques to solve crimes, and his unorthodox path to even becoming an FBI agent in the first place. I feel like I learned a lot about how things work in the FBI, especially from someone was kind of an underdog, working in a department most people neglected or outright ignored in favor of drug and murder crimes. 

It was interesting to read about the intricacies and complicated chess moves that go into convincing someone to "sell" you a painting or historical artifact worth millions of dollars. Also, this book had a set of glossy picture inserts showing pictures of Wittman and his colleagues with some of the criminals and artwork that they managed to recover. I thought that was cool and wish there was more pictures included. I'd also be curious to know what Wittman has done since retiring from the FBI, other than opening his own business.

Fun and informative. I really want to visit the Barnes museum now!
