I enjoyed this so much! While reading it, I related to to Anne in so many different ways, it almost made me cry. I was reading it with my English class, and I’m so glad that this was required reading because it definitely deserves to be. By the end, I was trying to hold back my tears, but I cried a little bit anyways. Haha. It’s just so hard knowing that they were so close to being liberated but didn’t make it. This book/ play was just so darn amazing!

Another book I read for school that I forgot to add to GoodReads. I rarely enjoy reading scripts/plays because it's really hard to find substance when you're not actually watching it, but this was very powerful, and it had me enthralled all the way through. I wish we read the actual novel for class, but I did enjoy this!

I read this play at school, and while I quite enjoyed it, I think it best to read Anne Frank's Diary directly. Until I do so, I reserve the right to rate.

Never gets old with re-reading. This is one of the highlights of teaching 8th grade. <3

Possible Read Harder 2020 Prompts: Memoir from a different religious tradition
Possible Pop Sugar 2020 Prompts: 20th century pub date, 4 star rating, Passes Bechdel test
I actually never read THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL but always wanted to. My grandma told me I couldn't read it until I was in 8th grade, and then..it had lost it's "allure". I got to teach the play this year with an amazing coteacher, and the play was so fun to watch the students interact with. It did a great job of keeping the reader engaged and wanting to know what happened next. It really hits home at the end how these were real people and a real story and i found it very moving.
