Love Cradle so much that I forced myself to take a break before I continued

This is an inferior book to the others in the series for me. First off, it is getting really repetitive for someone to target Lindon because he's weak, then he manages beats them anyway, and makes someone even stronger mad for not dying. Then *they* come for him, and he has to get stronger again. Formulaic. So formulaic in the context of this series, in fact, that I literally put this book down for 2 solid months because of it. Also, this book had so much opportunity for exciting battles and interesting events, but the author just literally skips over so much of it, which isn't gratifying at all. AND the most interesting thing to me was the stuff with Lindon's sister, and we just... don't return there for the rest of the book, after the intro? Like, the makings of a much better book are RIGHT HERE, but don't happen for some reason.

ok tbh i love a tournament arc but this one felt a bit too long? it was fun to see the matchups but things only got as interesting as the previous books in the second half imo. i still liked it! and
the final fight between yerin and lindon was SO GOOD i could almost hear the anime battle music 😂
. i am super duper curious to see where things go as always,
particularly re: eithan and mercy, i really hope lindon and yerin don't ever have to leave them behind!
i also hope we see more of orthos and kelsa in the next book! i haven't forgotten how the last one ended and i demand answers for what's going on insl sacred valleyyyy
