This was beautiful.

A Christmas Carol type storyline that follows a woman on the verge of death being given a chance to see what life could have been if things went a little differently. How no matter how bleak and dark your life may seem little everyday changes can be made to create an entirely new adventure.

The story’s premise was the character learning to understand that you don’t need to understand life to live it, and that there is always going to be bad things mixed in with the good around you.

Our main character was so well written you can see the slow progression throughout each alternate lifetime and how each one impacted her.

I think this book is something everyone can relate to, as who hasn’t thought of the “what ifs” in life, all the “shoulda, coulda, woulda’s” and how different your life would be like if you did one thing different at the right moment. How much potential we have and how following it will shape our lives.

I would 100% recommend.

I have an unfortunate habit of starting to mirror characters in the media I consume, for better or for worse. At the halfway point, I was nervous that it would make me miserable. Nora Seed, however, contains multitudes. This book was a delight. Although I correctly predicted the ending and the plot itself was very easy to divine, I still had a good time watching Nora's journey. Definitely a good addition to my library.

misleading synopsis, underdeveloped characters, heavy-handed themes/messaging, self-help vibes, and poor mental health representation made me skip the alleged "meat" of this book and just read the ending to see if my assumptions were correct... let's just say i'm glad i did

Very cool idea but needed a lot more time in my opinion. Felt so surface level, and as someone who experiences true depression, honestly a little insulting. It trivializes the concept and portrays such an outdated idea of what depression looks and feels like. I found the book entertaining and enjoyed the short chapters. About 3/4 of the way through I did kinda feel like I got it at was ready to wrap it up. I enjoyed the choices made in the end. Overall, though, it didn’t blow my mind or really change my perspective.
