Entertaining for sure, but certainly depressing at parts. If not for being a fast paced read, I am not sure it would have been so easy for me ingest.
Happy for the happy ending though of course.

Haig writes into words the despair of depression, followed by the persistence of hope, all with a main character whose wit and humor shows through even at her most despairing. In his philosophical approach to finding a will to live, Haig does not fall prey to the quick fix cure of "just try to be happy," but instead walks a delicate line of balancing situational depression and mindful changes in perspective.

A quick and easy read, but very predictable, and could have been written better. There is a lot of repetition of some phrases, which at some point made me want to scream 'OKAY I GET IT'.
The ending was very predictable as well, after the first few lives it becomes very clear how it's going to end.
But I guess the message can be considered hopeful by some, and maybe to some readers it will offer some comfort. Personally, I felt the opposite, but I'm a cynic.

/Possibly too cynical interpretation of the ending coming in 3... 2... 1.../

To me, the ending kind of seemed to push the idea that suicidal people just aren't trying hard enough, and that all they have to do is 'change their mindset'. Which, of course, is true in a sense, but not attainable for everyone.
