It wasn’t worth the time it was taking to read it, and it felt preachy about choosing to live YOUR CURRENT life

I found the premise of this book to be really corny and not as well executed as I would have liked. Nora is an exhausting protagonist to follow, but to be fair, I don’t think Nora or anyone would fare well in living an alternative life without exceptional anxiety due to not having any of the lived experiences up to that point. While it may have been the exact point the author was trying to make, I had difficulty finding enjoyment in reading this story.

I know you’re probably not supposed to bash on a book that covers such delicate topics but while this story contained some poignant sentiments, I found it to mostly be predictable and uninteresting

The book it’s good, I think it could have made or explain in a more in depth way of how the library works although I understand that the main point of the book is Nora and her journey
The book was also really well paced and I finished it relatively fast
I also might think the end it’s kind of a cliche, don’t get me wrong, it’s a good ending for nora and all her problems, but it wasn’t something unexpected or surprising that her chosen life was her root life

Audiobook Review: This book contains some dark themes, but is a beautifully written and artfully told story about navigating regret and remorse in one's life decisions, particularly when finding yourself "stuck" in what feels like a dead-end. It has mystical elements as the main character, Nora, finds herself in a surprising first phase of the afterlife, the Midnight Library, where she has the opportunity to sample the lives she almost had. Ultimately the story winds around to focusing on finding joy and passion for one's own life and choosing to live without regret.
