i loved the message of the book and the MC. i just wish the book was longer though since i feel like there were some parts that could’ve been more fleshed out. but i could see myself rereading this from time to time.

Read this for my work book club and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. This is a well written, interesting concept of a way to reflect on how we bring meaning into our lives. So so good

A narrative self-help book with a creative twist. The premise is different from what I've come across in this genre. However, the writing could have been a bit better.  I felt the first few chapters could have been a little shorter and less cliché. Additionally, some of the dialogue seemed stiff and unrealistic.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig captivated me from the very first page. It’s been a long while since I’ve read a book all in one sitting, but this book was impossible to put down. I’ve read other books by this author and wasn’t so much a fan, so I was hesitant to read this one, but it rose to the occasion. I absolutely loved the concept, and I thought the pacing was perfect. It housed a variety of important life lessons, and really felt like it was reaching out to the hearts of readers. I loved the way the questions of regret were handled, and even though there are some heavy topics, I thought they were handled in a way that fit brilliantly into the narrative. Everything about this book made me want to keep turning the pages and before I knew it, I’d devoured the entire thing. If you haven’t added this to your TBR, I would definitely recommend doing so ASAP (but please check the trigger warnings first!)!
