Not one character is safe in this amazing series. Not one...and I like it.

Just get better and better (and more horrific).
And don't get too attached to any of the characters ok?… 'Cause they're just going to die at some point, probably soon rather than later.

Certainly the most action packed and impactful volume thus far, this one stands out as perhaps the greatest of the series.

No! No! No! No! Nooooo!
I really feel for all these characters and really want them to just feel safe for a while. Is that too much to ask?!

By far, this is the most stressful and intense volume i've read.

Well... Killing off most of the cast of characters is certainly a way to mix things up, it's just aggravating that it was with a return of the Governor. And, honestly, I'd have preferred he'd killed Lori off a whole lot sooner, because she's just been aggravating the entire time for me.

This did feel like the "Hey, we don't have enough carnage, let's kill everyone" entry to the series. At least the Governor won't ever have to show up again...the whole disgusting thing going on with the little girl plus the drawn-out decapitation? Yeah, glad he's gone, and hopefully now the zombies will be more of a menace.

Another great volume. It started out in the Governor's camp right after our survivors escaped and showed the intervening time from their point of view. It quickly got the point where the last volume ended. There was a lot of action and the death toll was high. The fates of a lot of characters are up in the air. Once again, I can see elements that the TV show borrowed but changed up a little. My goal is to get caught up on the comics before the show resumes in February.

Really dark conclusion to the first 4 years of Walking Dead. Excited to see where the story goes next, even though the show has given me a rough outline.
