I like this series and the characters. The author is able to write the books all similarly but with completely different mysteries and stuff, so once you read a couple, you have a good understanding of what to expect and the author delivers.

The author briefly mentions men touching up women, sex, and sleeping with men for information. There is also blood and beatings mentioned and situations where people are threatened with violence.
