I generally don't read modern romance with such young MCs (19, 22 and 24 I think) but this was recommended to me, and I am glad I did read it. It turned out I very much liked all of the characters, including the side characters.

O'Neal was raised by her authoritarian evangelical grandparents after her mother was murdered. Auden is the older brother of O'Neal's best friend. He was raised in a loving home, but also one that subscribed to the same unyielding rules of church and thus he deals with a lot of shame around certain drives and desires I won't discuss here. Lennox is the hot artist with no real family. left to fend for himself. I loved the honesty of their interactions, the explicit message that in a relationship with three partners, especially one where kink is central, complete honesty is necessary. Everyone in this relationship is respectful, loving, and smart. It was nice. The sex is pretty steamy, but at least to my eyes not particularly shocking or over the top. Everything they do is ushered in with something like "the minute you use your safe word we stop, and that is fine." It is surprisingly sweet for a kinky thruple scenario.

There were some issues. Once everyone was in love, the kink largely disappeared. Truthfully the kink was pretty tame to start. It matters because we are told that this is a primal drive for Auden, and that drive causes shame, but if that is so why does it largely disappear? Nothing wrong with dabbling and switching it up, that is all fun, but the story tells you it is more than that for him (maybe the others too, they certainly enjoy it, but Auden is billed as a dyed-in-the-wool dominant.) The other issue is that the story is really good, but the writing is not. It is not terrible, but also not as good as I wanted it to be. I am not looking for literary merit, but the clunky sentences weighed down the storytelling and as a result, exciting things were less exciting, romantic things were less romantic, sexy things were less sexy, etc.

This is a 3.5. There is a lot to love here and I expect to return to this writer.

I can’t get behind stories where the main character is so innocent and naive, and needs men to sort of sexually liberate her. While I would’ve LOVED a story like this a long time ago, I’m not into it now.

3.5✨. Loved the plot but the end felt rushed and wanted a resolution of the murder of O'Neal's mother.

Come for the sex, stay for the bisexual angst and the forehead touches.
I got this expecting some erotica with kink thrown in for spice, but what I got were interesting characters with great chemistry and a bit of an exploration about Catholic guilt and how it messes young people up. Some parts of this book felt like the author had read 50 shades and went: “let me show you how it’s supposed to be done.” The enthusiastic consent was great, the fact that the main character had a spine and could actually stand up for herself as well as the chapters from both male characters POVs made for an interesting subversion of some of the traditional pitfalls of miscommunication and bizarre character choices.
The erotica was great, but it was the sweet sweet bisexual angst and the moments of vulnerability from everyone involved that really sold this for me.

Your reading device will catch fire from Roni Loren's sultry, sexy MMF romance, Good Girl Fail. It's unfortunate that, although dealing with a number of difficult topics, including sorrow and difficult childhoods, they aren't explored in great length or depth. I would have preferred more drama and history to truly get to know each individual. It's an easy read about loving who your heart needs and desires, living the life you want instead of what's expected of you, and experiencing your own brand of consensual kink in a safe and secure manner. It's a tale of acceptance and camaraderie as well. You'll read Good Girl Fail late into the night because it has really well-written characters, intense romance, and amazing connections!

O'Neal was raised by her devout grandparents in an exceedingly protected environment following the murder of her mother when she was a small kid. Her mother's death is a well-known cold case, which does not present her in a positive light. It's all really unjust, but when you grow up in a culture of conservative bigotry, people always question your behavior and sexual preferences. O'Neal wants out and applies covertly to a college sufficiently enough from home after developing a long-term infatuation on Auden Blake. O'Neal's closest friend Auden is everything she could ever desire and the unattainable big brother, but she has no idea where this obsession would lead her once she "steals" her first kiss.

She was focused on him. Auden, though, had her heart. Lennox could hear it when she mentioned Auden's name, though perhaps she wasn't aware of it at the time. It sounded to her like a prayer. Besides, he saw it on her face. He was aware of what love for Auden Blake looked like. He had caught that glance in his own reflection.

Where should we start with Auden and Lennox? These guys exuded confidence, luxury, and extreme hotness. We adored the direction this author took the relationships, the people, and the love. We cherished them both as a couple and with O'Neal, who was genuinely the courageous one. This is the sandwich to jump in the center of if you want hot and spicy MMF romance, whether you enjoy best friend to lover relationships, or both!

Holy Moly! This novel was so steamy! I'm surprised my glasses didn't fog up.

O'Neal had grown up in a strict household because of her grandparents. Feeling extremely sheltered and suffocated, she chose to rebel against her grandparents' wishes and went to a college of her choosing. There she was able to let go and find herself.

I absolutely enjoyed this storyline. There were some actual emotions behind it. The story felt real and believable. Well, at least when it came to the romance between O'Neal, Auden, and Lennox. I had to deduct half a star for the mother's story. It was too similar to O'Neal's personal story. What are the chances of that? But other than that, it was an entertaining novel that I didn't want to put down!

Highly recommend it to fans of erotica, menage, and MMF romances.

*Side Note- Not a novel to read at work.*

***A big thank you to NetGalley, Roni Loren, and Dreamscape Media for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.**

I love the idea of this book. I felt like because she was always put into a box of what to do and sheltered they acted like she didn't know her mind. She didn't go crazy. I was interested in finding out what happen to her mom but felt we didn't get as much out of that story line. The best friend brother having a connection but fighting it I'm here for it but adding the roommate felt a little forced and didn't feel as organic of a connection to it.

It was a good story but didn't blow me away.

Thanks Netgalley for this AudioArc in exchange for my honest opinion

I am absolutely going to listen to it again.
Great audiobook. 1 narrator but she does the male voices really well, you can even tell the difference between the 2 men.
A good girl has a chance encounter with her best friend's brother and it changes the course of her life. She goes to college and with his and his roommate's help has a sexual awakening and falls in love. This is an MMF and the 2 guys are already in love and she kinda forces them to realize it. They go on to be poly.
This is a best friend's brother, virgin, true love, a bit of bossing around and spanking, MMF with DP

I loved the start of this but I felt like I never really understood the characters. Lot of components that never really felt like they came together well. They're all sweet together but they made way too big of a deal about BDSM for them then to not really come through with what it all meant for them. Being familiar with Roni's previous works, I know she can write this very well.
