I’m still in my ✨omegaverse era✨ If you want an easy to read omegaverse book to dive into - I’d recommend this one. (Check triggers though!)

I thought the characters were charming and fun to read about, but there was something ever so slightly off for me. My guess - the pacing was a smidge off. But other than that, I feel like I simply inhaled this and could’ve read it in one sitting if I had the time.

The thing I really found interesting in this one is the concept that bonds & scent matches aren’t forever or final. I like the idea of basically being able to divorce or leave anyone you deem unfit to be with, etc. We love to see it 👏🏻 

Ollie & Julian were my favs ❤️ I’ll be reading book two most likely!

Yeah, idk man, these books are GOOD. I completely understand why this little series was the number one rec in the multiple places I looked. The fact that these are the first releases from Lee?? I think we are in for a treat with whatever comes next. 
Just as with part 3 (I didn't realize until it was too late), the characterizations stand out. I often find that with repeat whychoose authors are subject to writing the same pack over and over (not always a bad thing) but every single character is so intentional. The chemistry is so good, the banter is so good, each individual pack member has a distinct presence and voice and their interactions are unique. Also, we've not had any scent repeats, and they've all been mouthwatering. I also don't know how she's done it, but there are actual stakes without it being overly tense and stressful (per my limits, obviously. mind your cws) or feeling shoehorned into the plot. It progresses very naturally.

Although the scent-matching concept is interesting, the rest of this is pretty boring and predictable. I really couldn't make myself care for any of the characters or relationships. There's a big focus on consent and it's more romantic than most Omegaverse books which I really liked but the tension was pretty low after the first 10% or so.

This book was an impulse read fueled by the many recs I saw obsessing over the author’s scent descriptions. Normally I avoid any rejected mate or bond-broken books because I just like the fated mates trope too much, but I’m so glad I grabbed this one. 
 
Like everyone else, I am utterly entranced with Lee’s evocative scent descriptions and the way they change to incorporate each other when more than one scent is present. 
 
I even love the nontraditional pack dynamics and the acceptance of platonic pack members. 
 
The writing is great, the banter top notch, and the story feels airy and visceral by turns. 
 
I’ve had a great time and I’ll be starting the second book as soon as I post this review. If it’s anywhere near as good as this one, they’ll both go on my physical bookshelf.

I have literally one criticism of this book and it's that I don't personally don't like the smell of peaches and so the constant repetition of how good Juno smelled in her peaches and cream way was a bit grim. Clearly that is a me issue I'm going to work on because this story was great and as soon as I finish writing this review I'm diving into book 2.

I appreciated how different all of the MMCs were in this - it can be easy in these stories for them to all blend into the same person, but each one here consistently had their own distinct personality. Within the constraints of the size of the book and the number of Ms being dealt with the progress of the relationships didn't feel forced, either. Excited to see how it all pans out!

For onegaverse, this was really well written. A few editing errors. 

I loved the diversity, and that she has a traumatic background, but I’d still consider this book “light-ish” ‘cuz they don’t have a lot of explicit detail on the abuse.

The book starts out really dark. Juno’s imprisoned in a pack house, guarded 24/7, due to being forced into a bond with a pack she was sold to. Even though we don’t see everything firsthand, it did an outstanding job of explaining everything that happened until that point and even showed how horrific her life had been with Pack Zhao. It was so sad when Julian was banished. Still, eventually, Juno escaped, and then the book jumped 3 years, and everything changed for her. I wish we got to see things firsthand because she underwent an experiment that removes the pack bonds. Still, we get a recap of everything she went through and see her in a better life, and I really wish we got to see more of it. But overall, I liked how this one progressed, and we saw her move on. I love that she didn’t just jump into a new pack or bond with them when she found a scent match, which was another exciting concept. Not everyone in the pack has a scent match, and it’s not uncommon for a pack to not all bond with the omega in this world. It was all exciting because it completely differed from what I’d read. This one does leave us on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to get into the next one. I hope it gets more suspenseful because nothing happened to her previous pack. Yet, they don’t even show up in this one after she left, and the way they were so possessive over her, I feel like they would’ve tried to find her.
