My God, this book. Even after the first few chapters, I loved how much it revolved around the friendships between the characters. It was beautifully written, and constructed with impact. Not to mention everything that came after. These characters were as three dimensional as you could ask for. And it appreciate that not everything has a happy ending.

YA where the characters aren’t always likeable but at least seem real? Set in the UK? Yes please.

This was a really fast read, but still managed to be compelling. I also loved that it that focused on friendship rather than romantic relationships. I'm a sucker for a love story, but it was refreshing to read a story where that wasn't the primary point.

I did get a slight sense of the "manic pixie dream girl" trope towards the middle of the novel, but in a friendship kind of way. If that makes sense.

There were a few characters, like Rosie and Tarin, that I felt could have been developed further, and at times I think the dialogue felt a bit unnatural.

But overall it was an enjoyable story.
