I admit I stop and started this book over the past year or so, The beginning of the book is very interesting and detailed as each character narrates but halfway through, I felt too much was focused on their excursion and not enough on Cay and Alex. I practically skimmed the other half, not bothering to pay much attention until the end.I honestly expected much more from this book.
Um livro apaixonante, cativante e interessante, mas um pouco parecido com os restantes da coleção. Faltou-lhe um pouco de originalidade.
I love Jude Deveraux's writing style. She always keeps it funny and romantic. Her characters usually sleep together by the middle of the book so there's no silly sexual tension games played. But there isn't too much graphic detail either. The couples always have fun, can talk easily and really love each other. This one was really fun. I've got the next one "Jeartwishes" ready to read on my Nook.

I know, it's the same old stuff. Deveraux just does it way better than most.
Alex and Cay end up needing to flee to the Everglades together. Cay pretends to be a boy and gets to paint the fantastic things she sees there and Alex sets out to clear his name. Cay's three brothers are hot on the trail of their "kidnapped" sister. There are plenty of narrow calls and adventures in store for Cay and Alex. Along the way there is lots of friendship and love. This is a really compelling read that you won't want to put down!
I loved this book - I am not a huge fan of romantic novels and I normally don't read them but this one was fun to read. I enjoyed every moment of it and was rather sad when it ended- I wanted more! It was the first book by Deveraux that I read but I do plan on reading more now =)
historical entry in the series. Cay ends up helping Alex escaping and hiding out. They join a team exploring wild FL, and end up in New Orleans with all her brothers and the wife Alex supposedly murdered.
Deveraux's characters never fail to amuse me. I want a man like Alex... or any of Cay's brothers for that matter. I always love the stories Deveraux weaves, though this one had more typos than I've seen in a long time.
